Kenneth Tingler Obituary

TINGLER Kenneth Leo Tingler, age 71 of Gahanna, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012. Kenneth was born and raised in Harrisville, West Virginia, one of 11 children from the late Roma and Rhoda Tingler. Following high school, Kenneth proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army. Following, he worked for Borden for 24 years and retired from Westerville Schools. Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge #2252. Kenneth was a man who enjoyed the simpler things in life. Whether he was sitting on his porch waving as folks went by or spending much loved time playing with his grandchildren and great children, Kenneth's ornery personality always shined through. He was hardworking, loving, and well known by many. He grew the best tomatoes and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and playing golf. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Sheila Tingler; children, Crystal L. and Mike E. Nichols, Margo R. George, and Kester L. Tingler; grandchildren, Christi and Jacob Hines, Amanda and Scott Testa, Aprilynn George, Jennifer Nichols, Samantha and Nick Zickefoose, Jessika and Tyler Zickefoose, and Amber George; great grandchildren, Adryne Duruji, Brooke Hines, Anaya Zickefoose, and Krystian Kinsell; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Mifflin Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best
