To the Kitchen Family and Friends:

I'm sorry, I can't say that kevin and I were really close except for a few senior moments. But I can say that he had a profound impact on everyone that he met. Kevin had an unrelenting smile and wit to match that touched you instantly. Despite his looming large stature, he was endeared by everyone that knew him.

I will most remember his omnipresent rosy cheeks and optimistic smile.

Please know that heaven is no longer boring- Kevin is there with all of our past loved ones and has made it a whole new place.
A place that will surely be better now. May time ease your loss.

Life passes much too quickly at times. It seems like only yesterday that the Hillcrest neighborhood was filled with a multitude of kids running up and down the street having a blast. As I grew into adulthood and began a family of my own I looked back on your family with amazement and admiration. It isn’t quite fair when a younger sibling leaves before their time, however I am sure that you will all gather together and make it through. Please know that you are in our thoughts and hearts.

Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
