Kevin B. Roby

Roby Kevin B. Roby, 53, of London, Ohio, passed away at the Kobacker House in Columbus, surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 10, 2014 after a courageous battle with Cancer (melanoma). Kevin was born September 18, 1960 in Cambridge, Ohio. He was a long time employee of Michaels Finer Meats and Seafood. He loved all sports, especially the Buckeyes and Browns. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and bowling. Kevin loved his family and living life to the fullest; he had friends from all walks of life and never met a stranger. He is survived by his loving wife, Hope Phinney; his children, Danielle and Steven Roby; father, Ron (Freda) Roby; brothers, David (the late Barbara) Roby, Richard (Cindy) Roby, Phillip (Stacy) Roby; sisters, Cynthia (Dale) Gervais, Cheryl (Tim) Back; father-in-law Wayne Snyder; sisters-in-law, Carol (Greg) Beathard, Mary (Dave) Gilkerson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Kevin is preceded in death by his mother Donna Lou (Dutton) Roby and sister-in-law Connie Roby. Kevin's wishes were to have his body donated to the Ohio State University Division of Anatomy. Donations are encouraged to the Kendra Melanoma Research Fund (#311842) at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218-3112 in Kevin's memory. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014.
