"I would like to express my condolences. I worked for Kim's father at Lincoln School in Lisbon, OH. I knew the family very well. Kim came to work as a substitute in the Lisbon School District for a couple of years and also helped with the school play. I remember Charlie coming in one day after a rehearsal and said that Kim was getting tired of some of the "screwing around and stopped it". He just rolled his eyes. We all laughed because knowing Kim, we knew how she stopped it. Kim was a wonderful person who came from a wonderful family. Patty Smith (Lisbon, OH)

Kim was my very first friend when I moved to Lisbon when I was twelve. She and her parents and sister were always so kind to me. Unbelievable sadness for those she left behind.

Sweet Kristen, Bix, Emilia, and Peggy,
I am so upset and heartbroken to see this- I was thinking today of Kristen on her birthday and thought I'd try again to find some way to contact her, so I googled her. To my horror this is what popped up. I am crying as I type this. Kim was such a vivacious, loving, smart as a whip, beautiful person inside and out. I loved it whenever Kristen talked of her- from the stories of your wedding, Bix, to Kim's terrific career, her closeness with Kristen, their devotion to their amazing parents (who continue to inspire me whenever I think of them or see the beautiful things Chuck made for our girls). I especially loved hearing all the stories of when wonderful Emilia arrived in your lives. How loved you are, Emilia. How blessed I am to have known Kim and your family. I am sending hugs and kisses to all of you. xoxoxo

I had the opportunity to work closely with Kim in her position at M/I Homes. She was very professional and very easy to work with. She was very caring and concerned for her fellow employees. I am sure she will be missed by many.

Dear Bix and Emilia,
I am very sad to hear about Kim's passing. I only knew Kim through her role as HR Manager at IGS and met her as we began the Interiors portion of the new IGS building as the Interior Designer on the project.
Kim was always so personable and positive in all of our meetings and seemed to know just what to say to keep things moving forward or to help diffuse any tough discussions/decisions. I will always have fond memories of Kim and her positive outlook.
Every time I saw her on subsequent visits to the building, she was always ready with a smile!
I feel honored to have known her and express my deepest sympathy to you and your family.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

Dear Bix and Emilia,
I am so sorry for your loss.
At IGS, I went to Kim many times for help -- and every time I left her office feeling so much better. She always knew just what to say and always followed up with every issue and made sure there was a good result.
Kim was more than our HR manager to me. She knew my family by name -- and often asked me how they were doing. It amazes me how she kept up with my kids' ages with all the IGS members to think about.
We have truly lost a good and dear friend. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Love,
Ishi Leonatti

Bix & Emilia-
Words cannot express the overwhelming feeling of sadness and disbelief that consumed me as I read of Kim's sudden passing last week. As an employee of IGS, I only knew of Kim in the workplace. She was a wonderful person; ALWAYS putting "the person" before "the employee". She and I recently exchanged tears in her office over a personal situation of mine that I shared with her. The situation involves my son, and as a mother who obviously loves her Emilia, she clearly understood my tears and openly, lovingly shared the moment with me. A couple of days following our conversation, Kim sent me an email out of the blue, with the subject line "Thinking of You.." and the following words:
"Hang in there – you’ve done a great job with him so far, no reason to think otherwise for the future!
Keep me posted-"
The timing of her email was perfect, and I'm sharing her words with you today in hopes of lightening your grieving hearts, at a time when my own words can not come close to expressing how very sorry I am for your loss. Maybe these words of Kim's can offer you comfort as you reflect on your lifetime of conversations and moments shared with her.
Emilia- There was another time that I was talking with your mom in her office and you called her on her cell phone (I think it may have been after you had arrived home from school). She answered your call, and took her time talking with you. It brought a smile to my face as I listened to her shift gears from an HR Director to your mom. Not all moms would do that, but your mom did! I cant recall every word that I overheard, but I remember her saying "I love you" and that she would see you at home.
Hold on to her voice...hold on to her love...your memories are forever.
