Kristin Martin Obituary
Kristin Borger Martin, age 49, passed away March 30th after losing a courageous battle against ALS. She is survived by her husband/loving caregiver Matt, son Josh, mother Joan Borger, father Fred (Rosemary) Borger, mother-in-law Caroline Martin, sister Carolyn Smith, brothers Jim (Tatiana) Borger and David Evans, brothers-in -law Terry (Cindy), Jim, and Kirk (Sue) and many other close relatives and friends. She was a 1986 graduate of Grandview Heights HS, then earned a bachelors degree in 1990 from Denison University, followed by a masters degree in education from OSU. A beloved English teacher at Franklin Heights HS, she touched the lives of countless students. Kristin had a special love for animals, so in lieu of flowers please donate to Cat Welfare or your local Humane Society. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 7th from 1 to 5 p.m. at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts.Online condolences may be made at www.deyodavis.com..

Dear Joan, Matt, Josh and Jim,

Kristin was an educator who truly had the heart of teacher. While she will be greatly missed, her beautiful spirit will live on in the life of each student she taught.

Mrs Martin, was a very beloved teacher and person. She was my freshman English teacher and she opened my eyes to new things in the literature world. She will never be forgotten. I went to school with Kristen. I have nothing but great memories of her. It was great to reconnect through Facebook a few years ago. Clearly, she touched the lives of many, many people. She was beautiful, inside & out.

Kristin will live on in the many lives she touched and changed for the better.
She was so giving and compassionate to everyone she met. She wanted to help people and she wanted to make a difference in people's lives.
Our Prayers and love and hope for the future are with you.
She lives on in all of our hearts.
I will always remember her helping out in first, my Kindergarten classroom and then my Carpenter Tutoring room!!

She was such a wonderful person and teacher she really went above and beyond for her students as if they were her own kids she loved everyone so much and she always always had a huge smile on her face from the moment she walked in the building to the moment she left. My condolences go out to her family and husband as well as her son at this moment in time she will be greatly missed we all love you Mrs. Martin rest in peace.

Mrs. Martin helped me through a very tough time in life my freshman year of high school, she would read every story and poem I wrote and never failed to tell me how wonderful it was. It saddens me that she won't get to meet my daughter but she will always hear stories about my amazing English teacher and friend. I'm so sorry to everyone but especially her family for the loss of such a wonderful soul. My prayers are with you all.
