1942 - 2017
Larry Charles Marriott, age 75, of Dublin, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 after battling the negative effects of radiation for many years. As the sun was rising, Larry peacefully slipped away. He lost the battle but won the race, as he is now at peace and his lungs are filled with the Holy Spirit. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Malcom and Velma Marriott and his brother Stephen Marriott. He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Marriott; son, Scott (Kat) Marriott and their children, Lily and Luke Marriott; step-son, Greg (Erin) Evans and their children, Kyle, Kasey, and Piper Evans; step-daughter, Erin (Mitch) Alderson. Larry was a businessman, entrepreneur, gentleman and a generous soul who touched the lives of so many. He had a zest for life and his thirst for knowledge was never quenched. His humor, wit, and generosity will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. There will be a Celebration of Life service officiated by Rev Glory Geib on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., beginning at 2:30 PM and the celebration will continue until 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 999 OH-98, Bucyrus, Ohio 44820 or to Scioto United Methodist Church, 3203 Lemert Rd., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820; both are small churches in Bucyrus that have always held a special place in Larry's heart. Dear Jan,
So blessed to have you and Larry touch my life. What a fun, beautiful, loving couple you two made. So many good times with both of you, in the short few years since we met. Larry will always be remembered as "my stand in man"....he always made us laugh!
Love you girlfriend....I'm always here for you.
So sorry to miss the celebration of life...I am in Canada right now. I am certain it was absolutely beautiful, heartfelt and wonderful. Hope to get together with you soon and give you the biggest hug in the world!
