Larry Rucker Obituary

RUCKER Larry Gene Rucker, age 56, went to his heavenly home Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Larry had worked for Jeffrey Manufacturing, Rockwell, McDonald Douglas, and currently with The Ohio State University Chemistry Department. Preceded in death by father Kenneth Rucker, father-in-law John Shriver, brother-in-laws Don Darst, and Howard Shriver. Survived by wife of 38 years, Barbara; sons, David (Jennifer) Rucker, and Danny (Sarah) Rucker; mother, Willa Mae Rucker; grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Reed, Luke, and Brooke; sisters, Carolyn Darst, and Janet (Lowell) Johnson; brother, Mike Rucker; mother-in-law, Goldie Shriver; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, John (Roberta) Shriver, Eddie (Jeanetta) Shriver, Frank (Steffanie) Shriver, and Marsha (Mike) Scott; dearly missed by nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call at O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral service will be held Saturday 10 a.m. Pastor Chuck Stansberry officiating. Graveside service and interment 1:30 p.m. Saturday Centenary Cemetery, Gallipolis, Oh. Family suggests contributions be made to American Cancer Society in Larry's Memory.

barbara, ashley, AJ, luke, reed, and becca. i'm so sorry that your husband and grandfather has passed away. i cried at the showing and i miss him dearly, but i thank god that he is in a better place and not suffering such awful pain anymore. you're in my prayers. may god bless you and keep you in his loving care.

Larry has made his final journey into eternity !!!! Hopefully Mike Rucker Sr. will see from this where we ALL are going soon and very soon, and come back to HIS FAMILY !!

Larry, im sure you will be greatly missed........GOD bless and keep us all untill we meet you on the other side.

Barb and family, When I saw all of you this week it brought back alot of great memories. You are all very special. I will never forget the time that your Dad put himself in harms way to save my brother from getting hurt, and your Dad ended up with a broken arm. Now that's a true hero. May God Bless each of you.
