Linette Harbert Obituary

HARBERT Linette C. Harbert, age 55, went to join her father and brother on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. She fought an extremely difficult battle for the past two and a half years and was an absolute fighter and trooper until the very end. Linette absolutely adored her family especially her granddaughter, Lanie, who is the spitting image of her "Mimi". Linette also enjoyed taking drives with her husband Mark meeting her friends at El Vaquero to "catch up on the Clintonville gossip" and watching the Home and Garden Channel. She will decorate her little slice of heaven very well. Linette has joined her father Harold F. Clawson Jr. and her brother Dwight Clawson in their eternal home. Linette is survived by her husband, Mark Harbert; children, Kelli Harbert Fleischer, Lindsey Harbert and Christopher Harbert; her granddaughter, Lanie Fleischer; and her loving and doting mother, Donna Clawson. There are numerous other family members and friends that have battled along with her and she loved each and every one of them very much. Calling hours will be held in Linette's memory on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 12Noon-2 p.m. at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, in Clintonville, 15 Clinton Heights Ave., Columbus. Memorial Service to follow at 2 p.m. Pastor Ralph O. Wolfe officiating. Thank you everyone for loving Linette, she will be missed by many. Arrangements completed by WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 268-3593.

I am sorry for the late arrival of this message, but I just received word of Linette's passing. I am shocked and very saddened by this news.

Linette and I were best friends growing up right across the street from one another in Zanesville. (How many times did we run back and forth across that street?) I have always had the most fond, tender memories of our times together.

It's been many years since I last saw the Clawson family, and have tried unsuccessfully to locate them. I would very much like to get in touch with anyone from Linette's family.

Dear Mark, Lindsey and Chris,

We just wanted all of you to know how sad we were to hear about Linette. What a wonderful person she was with her truly infectious giggle! It's been awhile since the good ole IC and Watterson days but have never forgotten Linette and her bubbley personality which always made us laugh! You will never be able to replace her but take comfort in knowing she will always be with you in your hearts. May God bless all of you at this very sad time.

This have been one of the saddest and lowest moments for my family. Our mom was our everything and we loved her dearly. We may not like that she is away in a better plce, but she is. We love her. We miss everything she was - and one thngs for sure - NO ONE will ever forget her infectious laugh.

I have never met enyone like my mom. I will never again. She had plenty of friends that will rally togethter - and that's great. But one promise I give to my mom - no one will ever forget her or her spirit. I'll make sure of it.

To the Family of Linette Harbert,

I didn't know Linette that well but had the privilege of playing basketball with her in the over-30 league at Immaculate Conception Church in the 80's. One night she made a fantastic half-court shot...it was truly amazing and her teammates responded with a standing ovation. I will remember her as a fun-loving and kind person.
