George Dr. Louis "Louie" George, 82, of Upper Arlington, died at Kobacker House on Friday, February 21, 2014 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 3, 1931 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Graduated from Martins Ferry High School and The Ohio State University for his undergraduate and dental degrees. Member of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity. Captain in the U.S. Air Force. 40 year dentist in Columbus. Member of American Dental Assn, Ohio Dental Assn, and Columbus Dental Assn, St. Andrew Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Ohio State Alumni Assn. Preceded in death by parents Michael and Bessie George, sister Genevieve (Joseph) Kourie, brothers James M. and George M. (Bert) George, brother-in-law James Dover, special niece Bess Dover and special cousins Joseph Loweecy and Phillip Laweecy. Survived by wife of 49 years, JoAnn; daughter, Amy (Shawn) Hiller and their children, Scott, Mark, Christina, and Matthew Hiller; son, Tracy George and his son, Zachary; brother, Dr. Norman George; sister, Louise (Joseph) Karam, Mary Lou Dover; sister-in-law, Florence George; many nieces and nephews. Watson will concelebrate the Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road at Reed Rd. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
