Macynne Meadows Obituary

Meadows Macynne "Macy" Hope Meadows of Delaware, the beloved daughter of Scott and Angel (Amburgey) Meadows, died suddenly, Thursday, June 16, 2016 from a cerebral hemorrhage. She was 9 years old. In her unexpected passing, her parents and siblings chose to give the gift of life through organ donation. The beat of Macy's heart goes on. Born on January 16, 2007 in Columbus she possessed a determined spirit from the beginning. Her answer to life and everything was "yes". Never saying no, she was always positive, loved everything and everyone she met. She was always with a smile, even in the midst of a full sprint playing soccer. Full of joy and energy, she played second base on the Radnor U10 Green softball team, participated in gymnastics at The Jungle Gym, DYAA Soccer on the Pink team, and Northpointe Dance Academy. She was active with Asbury United Methodist Church. Having an adventuresome spirit, she rode the blue slide at Mingo Park Pool and played piano with the Delaware Music Academy. She truly loved life and was willing to try everything at least once. The only thing she was afraid of were bumble bees and bugs! Bright colors with sparkles were her favorites, as were mermaids, Disney shows, and books about rainbows and fairies. Macythe world will forever be mindful of the gift of you and your endless love of life! She will be remembered for giving 110% each and every day; always with a smile! Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Scott and Angel; siblings and twin, Mack, Laynie and Kinley; grandparents, Phil (Marie) Amburgey, Teresa (Richie) Latoski, Don and Sharon Fisher; great-grandparents, Alice White, William and Barbara Peters; and countless friends. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware. Services Celebrating the life of Macy will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 55 W. Lincoln Ave., Delaware, OH 43015 with Pastor Phil Wilden and Grandpa Phil Amburgey officiating. Burial will take place in Cheshire Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Macy Meadows Memorial Fund which will be shared with those charities unique to Macy. Macy, may you dance with the Jesus and be held by the Father. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around your mom and dad and brothers and sisters for comfort, peace, and understanding and may their hearts only be filled with your loving memories.

I do not know your family personally, but have gotten to know a little about your Macy from my cousin NIck who was her softball coach. Nick has asked our family to continue to pray for your family, and I wanted to let you know that our family across the US has continued to lift you up in prayer, and will continue to do so. I work as a nurse in the PICU at Nationwide Children's, I was not there while Macy was there, but I wanted to let you know that everyone there was praying for you and your family the entire time you were there. I had informed them that Macy was very special to one of my family members and asked them to pray for you all. I am so very sorry for your loss. As a parent myself, I can not begin to imagine the pain you are feeling. My God hold you close to Him during this difficult time. Macy is forever living on in spirit, and in those who received her organs that she donated. May God bless you and your family.

Your family doesn't know me at all, but I am very touched by Macy's story. I have an 11 year old granddaughter and can't imagine your pain. The choice for her to be an organ donor was gracious . I will pray for your family and friends. God bless.

I had Macy in gymnastics at the Jungle Gym and had her brother Mack and her sister Lainey. She was very talented and so were her siblings. It was a blessing to have such a wonderful girl. The Jungle Gym family loves the Meadows!

My daughter was a classmate of Macy's in Kindergarten & 1st grade. My heart goes out to you. Maybe you will find comfort in an old Jewish proverb, "God is closest to those with a broken heart".
