I can hardly wrap my mind around traveling my lifes journey without you for a year... With God's strength along with precious, precious memories I've seemed to have handle it "well" - that is to say, in spite of the emotional rollercoaster rides I've taken since you left for your eternal rest. My heart swells on those ocassions when I see Sam, Ryann & Donnie - you live through them - for that I am thankful... You are very much loved and missed... I LOVE YOU Mar-shee, yes I DO...!!!

I found out you are no longer with us. I cried knowing our paths will never cross again in this life time, I do rejoice that in my life, we had our special time together. I will cherish those times, for I’ve been bless to have had those times with you. I know God is looking after you now as he always has. I will truly miss you.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be lifted for the family and others whose lives were touched by Marcia.

To "Mar-shee" (smile)...

Picked up the phone to call you today; then it hit me - again...

It goes without saying that I miss you... For weeks I've tried to reconcile my thoughts relative to the conversations we had just days prior to God calling you home.

You blessed my life bountifully with the "pinky promise" made in that Sunday School classroom in the basement of Wayne Avenue Church of God. A bond unbroken - one that lasted a life time.

I promise Emai` will be reminded of your unconditional love - no one will ever replace her Mommy-2!

You lived to LIVE AGAIN... Though overwhelmed, my heart smiles knowing you're resting our Father's arms - void pain and suffering.

Love ya' girly girl...

To the Rippey Family,
Please know that my prayers are with you now and always.
Jesus has promised a welcome above with shouts of rejoicing for those that we love. Although we all feel sad now, in time we'll all be together with Jesus in Eternity.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to to lose you, you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide;
and though we can not see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

Cynthia and Family....My deepest condolences in the loss of your sister/family member. I didn't know Marcia; I worked with Cynthia before retiring from CPD. In reading the many great poems and memories from others who knew her, she sounds alot like her sister. I will keep you all in my prayers, and may your blessed memories of her bring smiles to you all forever.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Memories are in our pockets . . . They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole. Our memories are a blessing that God has given us and I praise God for the memory of Marcia.
We worked together at the Court and she was always my friend. I was sadden to hear of her homegoing; she endured and possessed a quiet strength. My prayers and thoughts are with Mom & Dad Rippey and the entire family.

To the Rippey family

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Marcia your presence here on earth will be miss, but I do look forward to rejoicing with you in heaven.

I send you my deepest sympathy.

To the Rippey family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Marcia was my supervisor at the BMV. She was a beautiful person. I will always remember her gentle smile and soft spoken voice. She was never loud or disrespectful. She carried herself as a true professional in every way. She was a thoughtful and kind individual always putting other's needs before her own. One example is when she made care packages for the Gulf War soldiers. I was proud to have her as my supervisor!!

She will surely be missed!!

God Only Takes The Best

God saw that Marcia was getting tired
And a cure was not meant to be

So he put his arms around her
And whispered "come with me"

With tearful eyes we watched her suffer
And watched her fade away

Although we loved her dearly
We could not make her stay

A golden heart stopped beating
And a warm loving heart to rest

God broke our hearts to prove to us
That he only takes the best

With Love and Hugs,

I will be praying for the family. Marcia was a beautiful young gir1. I have not lived in Columbus since I graduated from Mohawk and I was closed friends with Gwen during that time. I remember her sweet quiet spirit. I know that she will be missed, but pray that the family will allow God to heal and comfort you during this time. Although miles away and having kept in contact, I will always remember not only Marcia but the Rippey Family who was always warm and loving to me. God bless you all and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep looking up. God never makes a mistake.

To The Rippey Family:

I loved Marcia very much and have more than a few memories of her smile and also her tears. She was so strong and yet so gentle. I have great memories of our time together, living right across the street from each other during our middle school years. Although our closeness had been reduced to me calling her each year on October 2nd, to remind her that I was still a year older, to seeing her just a month ago, and promising as we always would, to do better about keeping in touch. God has taken her to a better place with all of his promises waiting for her. To the siblings, Marcia loved you, and from the age of 12 when we first became friends up until her home-going, every word that she spoke about each of you was pure praise. She loved you all more than any words that I could say. She spoke of you all fondly every time that we would meet. I will be praying for you all as God in his infinite wisdom and power makes a way to fill the void left by your baby sister, Marci, flying away to receive her eternal crown.
