Margaret McBride Obituary

McBRIDE Margaret "Peg" McBride, age 77, passed away peacefully at the Forest Hills Center on September 7, 2012 after a struggle with Lewy Body. Born January 2, 1935 in Bedford, Oh. Peg graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in Education and taught in the Columbus, Upper Arlington and Westerville school systems until 1977 when she joined her husband, Neil McBride and partners Majel and John Dubis in formulating Mailers Equipment Company from which she retired in 2005. Peg was a long time member of TWIG 6, raising money for Childrens Hospital and also belonged to several bridge groups. Preceded in death by her parents William and Emma Carmany, brother William Jr. and sister Anna Dean Godomski. Survived by husband, Neil McBride; sister, Betty Douglass; daughters, Kimberly Staten and Lisa McBride; grandsons, Aaron McBride, Donald and Darrell Lee, Grant and Brandon Gwin; granddaughters-in-law, Jennifer McBride, Jessica Lee,and Gena Lee; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Josh and Dean McBride, Kaden, Lacey and Mason Lee, Isahia and Destiny Lee. Peg was truly a lady of compassion, integrity, and had a great love for her family and friends. A memorial celebrating her life will be held at Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 High St., Worthington, OH, on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Peg's honor to Forest Hills Center or Mount Carmel Hospice.
