Marilyn R. Carson

Carson Marilyn R. Carson, age 71, of Howard, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. She was born on May 23, 1942 in Webbville, Kentucky to the late Ralph and Helen (Thompson) Porter. Marilyn enjoyed decorating and interior design. She also enjoyed dancing, but most of all, Marilyn loved the time she spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She is survived by her husband of over 54 years, Edward Carson; three sons, Edward (Kris) Carson of Lewis Center, Daniel (Lori) Carson of Richwood, Andrew (Christy) Carson of Mt. Gilead; seven grandchildren, Kirk Carson, Danielle Carson, Alexa (Jeramy) Carson, Dylan Carson, Brandon Carson, Justin Carson, Travis Carson; her great grandchild, Bailey; her brother, Larry (Linda) Porter of Mesa, Arizona; and her sister, Ina George of Gambier. Besides her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister Carol Murray. Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the DOWDS-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME. A service will be held on Saturday, at the funeral home, beginning at 10 a.m. with Pastor Dan Whisner officiating. Burial will follow at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
