Marilyn Varley Cherry, 79, of Pickerington, passed away on September 5, 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 18, 1938 to John and Helen (Fitzwater) Varley. She was a graduate of Bexley High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert "Bob" Cherry, son Sean Cherry, daughter Colleen Balcer, son-in-law Doug Balcer, grandchildren Anthony and Ashton Balcer, brother John. Survived by children, Michael (Tammy) Cherry, Kelly (Brian) Samborsky, and Matthew (Steve Schruers) Cherry; daughter-in-law, Annett Cherry; grandchildren, Dakota, Alyssa, Michaela, Christopher, Andrew, Alyssa, and Anna; sisters, Virginia Jones and Linda Hunter; three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, September 9, from 2-5pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her funeral will be held on Monday at 11am. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Messages may be sent to her family by visiting www.cotnerfuneralhome.com.
