Mark Gerschutz Obituary

Gerschutz Mark (Gershman) Gerschutz, 46, of Powell, Ohio, passed away July 1, 2013 at his place of residence. He was born in Findlay, Ohio on February 9, 1967 to Dennis and Melanie (Meyers) Gerschutz. Mark was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran and served during Desert Storm. He was a part of Task Force Grizzly. Mark graduated from Waite High School in 1985 and was currently working on his Bachelor's Degree from Colorado State University's Global Campus. Mark worked at DAD/PRO On Call for 15 years before starting a new job at WOW, Wide Open West recently. He was an avid golfer and loved the Cleveland Browns. Surviving are his father, Denny (Sharon) Gerschutz; twin sister, Marsha (Jeff) Raymond; brother, Steven (Holly) Gerschutz; step brother, Gary (Tami) Vincent; nieces and nephews, Anna and Sarah Raymond, Gannon and Caprice Gerschutz and Gary Jr., Elizabeth and Carson Vincent; grandmother, Pauline O. McBride; best buddies Will, Rich, Jay, Jeff, Mike, Lenny and many other friends; and his dog, Gunther. He was preceded in death by his mother. Visitation will be held at the EGGLESTON MEINERT & PAVLEY FUNERAL HOME, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Rd. on Friday, July 5 from 3-8 p.m. Friends and family may also visit on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior fund. www.eggleston-meinert.com
