Mary Pishitelli Obituary
Mary Elizabeth (Babic) Pishitelli, age 52, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 from an extended illness. Mary is survived by her husband, Pete Babic; her three children, Todd, Ryan and Mary Caroline; parents, Joseph and Judith; brother, Phillip; and many other family and friends. Mary was born on October 4, 1964 in Columbus, OH. She is a graduate of Bishop Hartley High School and obtained a BA in Art History from The Ohio State University. During the 1980s, Mary was very much involved in the burgeoning art scene in Columbus, both working and volunteering for a wide variety of galleries and non-profit institutions including the Son of Heaven Exhibition, the Columbus Museum of Art, and the ROY-G-BIV Gallery located in the Short North. In 1992, Mary moved to Cleveland and started her family where she enjoyed summers boating on the lake with her husband Pete. Family will receive friends Sept. 16, 2017 from 11 a.m.-12 noon at St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street, Columbus, 43215. Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Private burial later. Father William A. Metzger, Celebrant. Arrangements under the care of the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, (614) 444-1185. Mary was a faithful friend during our Mater Dei school years. I knew her as "Mary Beth". We lost touch after that but I could never forget her.
