1920 - 2021
Maxine Schwartz, age 101, passed peacefully July 30, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Julius Schwartz, and son Malcolm Schwartz. Maxine leaves a family who loved her very much. Sons, Richard Schwartz (Karen Schwartz), and Edward Schwartz (Joanna Schwartz); grandchildren, Jennifer Siegel (Steve Siegel), Stephanie Schwartz (Joe Turek), Brent Schwartz (Susan Schwartz) and Michelle Schwartz; great grandchildren, Brandt Siegel, Claire Siegel, Connelly Schwartz, Paxton Schwartz, Lennox Schwartz and Pierce Schwartz; great-great granddaughter, Andee McDonald; nieces, Dr. Rhoda Cobin (David Cobin) and Enid Greene (Roger Greene); nephew, Rabbi Arnie Fertig; as well as other significant family members, Ben Ballentine and Shea Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 12PM on August, 4, at the Fort Hill Cemetery in Auburn, New York. The family will sit shiva August 5, from 7-8:30PM at 7190 Sumption Drive, New Albany, Ohio. (Please honor COVID restrictions.) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Red Cross or the Mid-Ohio Food Collective.
