To the Marsh Family,
I would like to express my condolences on your loss. I was a student of Mr. Marsh at Hilltonia Jr. High. He was a really kind, funny man who taught me a lot about life & was there for me to talk to when I needed to. I have always remembered him as one of my 2 favorite teachers and he had an effect on my life. I know you must be missing him and only hope knowing the effect he had on young lives will be a blessing to you, just as he was a blessing to many.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Hall Watson

Dear Sister Joyce and Family;

My prayers and thoughts are with you as you mourn your loss and celebrate Mr. Marsh’s remarkable life. He, as you know, will always be my favorite teacher. I am sure that I am not the only person whose life he touched so positively. When I think of him and all he did for me in my life, I smile.

He was a kind and honorable man. His loyalty to you, his family and his career was remarkable. His dedication to education is one of the reasons I am in the field of education today.

Please accept my heart-felt condolences. God bless you and yours.

Mr. Marsh was a well respected principal at Southmoor Middle School, back in the mid 80's. Being a student and having the opportunity to work as an office assistant, I got to view him as someone other than the straight-backed, stern, yet kind and soft-spoken, principal; I was able to witness his laughter. Now, at the age of 32, I would often think of Mr. Marsh, as he had a great affect on my life as a young lady growing up. He was like the "father-figure" away from home and would always pull young boys and girls to the side and say "now that's not the way to carry yourself." My prayers go out to his family and close friends.
