Flickinger Michael David Flickinger of Indianapolis, passed into eternity with Jesus Christ on Friday, May 29, 2015. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1957, Michael was raised in the Gahanna community, graduating from GLHS in 1975 as a proud Lincoln Lion. "Flick" is well known and beloved in the Gahanna Community and was the manager of the famous Massey's Pizza for over a decade. He has touched many friends, customers, and associates in his journey of life in both Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana. Mike is well known for his big heart and generosity of spirit. Mike was preceded in death by this parents Jack (Arie) and Stephanie and will be missed greatly by his adoring brothers Mathew (Elvia) and Mark (Rodney), his nephews Kris, Kevin (Jessica), and great nephews Luka and Niko, and stepbrother Phil Herzog (Tonya). Family meant everything to Mike and he also leaves behind a close knit and loving circle of aunts, uncles and cousins from the Flickinger, Giesea, and Rosemeier families; Suzanne and Art, Rick, Lynda, and Teri, Mary Jo, David and Michelle, Jeff and Chris, Dennis and Pat, Denise, Jeffrey, Lois and Jim, Lynn, Stanley, Kevin, Heidi and Kevin, Andreas, and Claudia, as well as a huge extended family across the family tree. The family will hold a viewing and visitation for Michael on Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m.-12Noon with a memorial service immediately following at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. A wake for all attendees will be afterwards at Massey's Pizza, Gahanna.

I worked with Mike for several years in a Home Improvement company and he made our work fun and enjoyable. He had such a big heart and was a great friend. I really wanted to be there today to say goodbye to a great friend but my own health issues is not going to allow me to be there. R.I.P. Flick! You will be missed!

I'm so sorry Mark and Matt. Working with and being friends with Mike at Massey's was a blast. Many good memories and I met a lot of good friends there. Mike's a good man and will be missed. He's probably having one at the Scotch & Soda right now. Thanks Mike and I'll see you again...but not yet. TB

I remember Mike from my interview with Sears Home Improvement Products on Worthington Galena Rd in Columbus in April of 2000, He was so kind and put me at ease, he joked and poked fun at things through the interview and hired me on the spot. I worked with him for about three months before he left to pursue other interests but he would come in to visit and always had a kind work for anyone. His love and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed but I know he is in heaven and is one of God's brightest angels.
