My grandpa Locke was the most influential man of my childhood. I not only respected him but I truly loved him. He was passionate and driven, his love for his children and grandchildren was unfathomable. I miss him every day.

Mr. Locke was the best! I'll never forget him, or the hilarious stories he told during study hall! A true legend, he'll be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to the family.

Much love to Mrs. Locke, Steve and Laura. My life was a lot better for knowing him. His warm smile and friendliness (along with his great sense of humor) was much appreciated. Thank you Mr. Locke, for being a friend. So sorry. He was a good, good man.

I am sorry to hear of his passing, Mrs. Locke and family. I still remember from science class how he describbed the human eyeball: round and firm, fully packed, easy to squeeze and soft to touch.

Mr. Locke was one of my favorite teachers. If I was having a bad day, he would always say something to make me laugh:) My grandparents always enjoyed the pop by visits he & Mrs. Locke would make on the motorcycle. He was a great man & will be missed by MANY who's lives he has touched over the years

He was always "football", but Mike was a peaceful, kind man. When our son, Danny Crist, made O.S.U's Marching Band, the big hearted and beloved coach was at Dan's first "marching memory". He was a great teacher and good friend to all.
He will be greatly missed.
See 'ya Coach.

To the Locke Family, you have my deepest condolences. I played for Coach Locke on his 1975-1976 football teams. I played with some really outstanding players, but he made me feel just as important to the team as the numerous All-MSL and All-State Players that were on that team. He was a great Coach, great Man and great Teacher. The world is a lesser place now without him in it.

Mike Locke was one of the greats! Whether at the state track meet high in the stands tanning with his shirt off, at Kingy,s singing and telling a new joke, or asking fellow coaches to his home during a break in a home track meet. He will be truly missed by all of his fellow coaches.
