Michael Wojcik Obituary
Michael Wayne Wojcik, 52 of Columbus, Ohio, died peacefully at home July 2020. Born September 22, 1967, and with degrees in Aviation "Airframe & Powerplant" plus electronics, Mike enjoyed a career in aviation. Mike will be dearly missed by his mother, Dorothy; son, Duke; and brothers, Mark, Tim, and Brian; as well as countless friends and acquaintances. Services were held at the convenience of the family.

OMG...I just heard. I am so sorry! I hope you are receiving this at this late date! Mike was a reading mentor for Herbert Mills Elementary in Reynoldsburg, OH for so many years. While I was the coordinator of the program, Mike spent endless hours (many of those having not slept after working a 3rd shift) teaching and coaching youngsters how to read! He was always so patient with his students and often explored new ways of presenting the material if the first way just didn't work. He was an energetic mentor, always willing to participate with his students in our readers' theaters and other activities. Mike often shared his love for flying and one day treated my father (who loved planes) and me to a tour of Net Jets and plane ride. The last time I talked with Mike was the fall of 2019 so this is a shock to me! Please contact me if you wish, as I would love to hear how Duke (his pride and joy) is doing. I will find some pics and put on this site too. My heart hurts for all of you, as I'm sure your loss is still very difficult. Sending prayers!

I was so sorry to hear about Michael's passing. I have many memories of playing with him and all of the Wojcik boys when we were young children on McElwain Avenue in Amsterdam. Your family is in my prayers.
