Min-kuang Kwang

KWANG Min-kuang Kwang, passed away October 31, 2006 at the age of 94. Survived by his son, Wood-chuen Kwang and his wife Tsui-lan (Hong Kong); daughters, Chieh-chuan Kwang and her husband Chieh Chang (Taipei), Pei-chuan Kwang and her husband Lih-shyng Tsai (Taipei), Mae Hill and her husband Michael (Columbus); seven grandchildren and spouses (everywhere); and one great granddaughter (Honolulu). He and his late wife Kong-chu Houng started their family in Mainland China before fleeing to Taiwan. After retiring as Captain from the Navy of Nationalist China, Min-kuang skippered freighters and super tankers in every ocean of the world. In 1978, the Kwangs emigrated to the USA where they enjoyed their final years. During his long life, Min–kuang was always the source of unconditional support and stability to his family and friends. We will miss him dearly. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, following the 7 p.m. memorial service at THE FIRST UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CONGREGATION, 93 W.
