Nanae Tomlinson

Tomlinson Nanae (Tanaka) Tomlinson born November 24, 1923, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, January 24, 2014. Born and raised in Pusan, Korea she also spent time in Beijing, China before moving to the native land of her family, Kyoto, Japan. There she met and married William (Buff) L. Tomlinson after the war in 1952. In 1953 they arrived in the U.S. and resided in Flint, Michigan for 49 years. She retired from Beecher Schools where she worked in the cafeteria as the head cook for 20 years. She moved to Columbus, Ohio 12 years ago with her daughter and son in law. Nanae was a member of the Senior Centers in Blendon, Westerville and Worthington and an avid card player of Bridge and Pinochle. Nanae loved the Lord, her family, her church family and her card family. She is survived by sons, Nick (Donna) Tomlinson, Jerry Tomlinson; daughter, Saki (Rick) McCarriston; grandchildren, Nick (Nicole)Tomlinson, Erik Tomlinson, Jason (Lisa) Tomlinson, Kazuo Oliver, Zachary Tomlinson, Darci (Brandon) Martin, Alana Matias, Shae Tomlinson, Rolo Matias; great grandchildren, Destiny, Brady, Kaylee, Ian, Colin, Wyatt, Hank. A Celebration of Nanae's life will be held Saturday, February 1, 7:30 p.m. in the Worship Center at Grace Fellowship Church, 3475 Paris Blvd., Westerville, Ohio 43081.
