Nancy Ruth Moran Byron, age 81, of Worthington, Ohio, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 1, 2018. Nancy was born January 6, 1937, in New York City, to Owen and Ruth O'Connor. Raised in the South Bronx, Nancy met and married her neighborhood sweetheart, Edward Moran. Thus began a thirty year adventure that would take them to Staten Island, NY, Rochester, NY, and finally Columbus, Ohio, where they would raise three sons. Nancy and Eddie were a great team, and together they owned Shamrock Florist, and Bunsmaster Bakery, where Nancy would serve as president. Always together, they never left each other's side until Ed's untimely passing in 1989. Nancy would later become a claims representative for Safelite Autoglass, earning the prestigious associate of the year award in 1997. In 2009, Nancy married Richard A. Byron. They would spend their golden years together traveling, and enjoying grandchildren. Nancy and Rick were fixtures at their grandkid's sporting and school events. Nancy loved dancing, music, and the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. She also loved to celebrate her Irish heritage. Hers was a life well lived, and boy are we going to miss her. God Bless you, mom...we love you. Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband Edward G Moran, and parents Owen and Ruth O'Connor. She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Byron; sons, Brian Moran, Terrence (Debbie) Moran, and Sean (Jean) Moran; her grandchildren, Eddie, Owen, Liam, and Quinn Moran; as well as her step children, Alison, Karen, Dianne, Chris, and Jeff Byron and their children. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Rutherford Corbin Funeral home, 515 High St, Worthington, Ohio 43085, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 1-3:30 PM., with a prayer service to be held at 3:30 PM.
