Eleanor, I have been thinking of you and just found Neil's obituary from The Columbus Dispatch. Hoping this month brings to mind more happy memories than sad. Perhaps Neil and Larry will renew their acquaintance in the great beyond.

I am sad to learn of the passing of Dr. Fujita. I was his student in Old Testament studies at Iona College almost 50 years ago. His knowledge and love of sacred scripture inspired me and many others to study the Word of God. I remember a paper I wrote for him on `Davidic Messianism.´ I offer my prayers for Dr. Fujita and his family. God Bless you.

He and Eleanor were always there at the church in Chillicothe. We appreciated very much his sermons. We are very sorry for Eleanor's loss. Always so nice to see them at church. Thank you for being here on this great Earth.

I did not know Professor Fujita but I knew his wife, Eleanor, and I send my condolences to her. I am not sure if she will remember me, but I am very appreciative of her mentorship during my time at Columbia. My time at Columbia set the stage for my medical and academic career. Eleanor, it would be nice to thank you if you would like to contact me. I am at the University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. My email is [email protected]. My brother, Sam, sent me this notice. He has worked at Iona for many years and enjoyed saying hello to Dr. Fujita when he saw him on campus.
