I was at an Ohio State game and saw this unique shirt in the crowd, so I looked it up. And it brought me to Capt Rozanski's site. My brother is a CSM with Ohio National Guard, and served with Capt Rozanski in both Kosovo and Kuwait. Our prayers are with your family, and thank you for your service Captain.

Nick was an awesome friend to have back in highschool, and we always had lots of great laughs together. He always had a way of making the time go by quicker at school, and was a ray of light. I was devastated to hear what happened to him, and i am so sorry. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son and husband's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] with the names and addresses and what they would like to receive. We will send them as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved one who died serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address, as our organization can no longer get family contacts through the military. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne

Jan and Jan...
There are no words at the loss of a child. There are no words to heal the wounds. There are no words that can console. Rest assured that the sacrifices your son made for his country, for both of you, and for his wife and his children make up for all the words that can't be spoken. You are giving people and you raised a giving and self-sacrificing family. God will watch over Nick now and He will be with you to heal you...

To his wife and wonderful daughters:
My thoughts, prayers and hugs go out to you! My husband is a LT in the KYARNG (prior veteran Afghan/Iraq(Navy)). Your husband/father was one of his tac officers through OCS, he said he was one of the best he had, "he was stearn, witty, kind, & earned my respect immediately, he made me laugh and made me try that much harder!".Though I never had the honor of meeting him, his description from family and friends sounds a lot like my husband. Capt. Rozanski was admired by his troops and missed by his family through those times. Now just know he will always be right beside you, like he is for his troops. I ironically grew up in Dublin, and met my husband in Kentucky who then met your your husband/father, years later. I can't imagine what you are going through, but if tears are signals then know... You are thought of daily!

To Alex, Melissa and the entire family of Captain Rozanski - Since hearing of the sad news of the passing of your brother you have been in our thoughts and prayers. We are so terribly sorry for your loss. I do not believe there are any words that can truly comfort or help during this time, but hopefully in the future thoughts of Nick will bring more smiles and laughter rather than tears and sadness. My thoughts and prayers have been going out to the Rozanski family ever since I heard this heartbreaking news. I pray you all may find just a little comfort in knowing how grateful so many are for the sacrifice Nick made. There are many words that can be said about a man who would lay down his life in service of his country to protect the freedom of his neighbors. Far more should be said about a man who lay down his life to protect the freedom of complete strangers while serving his country. Jennifer, I only met you a couple of times during the Viale, your husband was my Platoon Leader during our tours in Iraq in 2008 and I work with him here in Afghanistan. He was a special person and he will be miss by every one in our Battalion. I don't believe there is any one in our Battalion that did not know your husband. He had a special way of kidding around with every one that made us feel good when things were not going that great. He had a deep love for your and his daughters. I will miss him and will always keep him and your family in my heart.
