Otto Beatty, Jr transitioned peacefully to his heavenly home unexpectedly on Friday, May 14, 2021. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long St. A Walk-Through Viewing will take place 9-11am on Friday, May 21, 2021 at First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Rd. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors are asked to wear an appropriate face covering. Due to COVID restrictions at First Church of God, seating for the funeral service is limited to family and close friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be streamed online to allow family and friends to honor Otto together at a distance beginning at 12pm at www.1stchurch.net. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. My heart goes out to the family, especially Otto III and Laurel. You two were so close with your dad and full of love and joy. We The Haynes Family sends our deepest of condolences to Otto Beatty's Family, prayers of love and comfort are being sent from God almighty, I first met Otto at his East Main Street office retaining him for a legal case against me, he was a fantastic lawyer, from that working together on my case we built a life long friendship as when I would run into to him at a bar or function he would always immediately and wantonly buy me a drink with a gracious smile and the demeanor of a truly great gentleman. The way he always treated me made me feel like somebody not so much special but somebody worthy of respect. I can't say enough good things about him besides all his great achievements and accomplishments he was someone very special to me and I always held him in the highest respect. RIH heaven Otto as I always called him, thank you for being my friend.
