Pam Tinkham Obituary

TINKHAM Pam Hixson Tinkham, age 50, of Reynoldsburg, formerly of Athens, died Wednesday morning, January 17, 2007, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. Born August 10, 1956, in Athens, she is the daughter of Patricia A. North Hixson Fulks and her step-father Tim Fulks of The Plains and the late Leo William "Bill" Hixson. A 1974 graduate of Athens High School, she was employed at Grant Medical Center for 20 years. She was Director of Medical Staff, CPMSM, for 10 years at Grant where she found her employment enjoyable and fulfilling. She participated in many worthwhile fund raising activities working with medical staff and employees at the Medical Center. She also enjoyed travel, cruises and vacations with family and friends. Pam is survived by her husband of 21 years, George Tinkham; a son, Jordan Tinkham of Reynoldsburg; a sister, Cheryl (Doug) Hoyd of McArthur; a brother, Bill (Vicky) Hixson of Athens; three sisters-in-law, Connie Tinkham of Severn, MD, Karen (John) Graham of Glouster, and Trina Tinkham of Chauncey; also surviving are her beloved pets, loving nieces and nephews, and many special friends whom she loved and enjoyed their friendship. Besides her father, she is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Clarence and Verna Tinkham, a brother-in-law Clarence "Tink" Tinkham, Jr., and a sister-in-law, Donna Tinkham. Funeral service will be conducted Sunday 2 p.m. at JAGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME by Pastor Ron Fierce. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus 43215. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the Medical and Nursing Staff of the 9th Floor, ICU, and CCU of Grant Medical Center for Pam's care during her illness.
