I am a police officer and I had the honor of meeting Paul in 2012 after a minor accident. Right away I could tell he was a kind and gentle person. Since then Paul and I had become friends always offering me a Coke when I would stop by to see him. He was always kind and outgoing to me and my son. I enjoyed hearing his stories about working for the gas company and his life with Mary Ann. I will miss him, he was a good friend

I knew Paul for many many years. I was his tax preparer but also considered him a friend. I just found out this morning that he passed away. I am so very sad to hear this and wish I had known. My daughter was in serious accident last year, was in a coma and spent several months in the hospital so I hadn't kept in touch with Paul as I normally would have. I cannot say enough good things about him as a person. He was one of a kind and made friends wherever he went. I so wish I could have visited with him one last time. The only thing that helps is knowing that he is so very happy to be reunited with the love of his life and he and MaryAnn are together again. They were always the cutest couple. God bless.

My sincere condolences Diakson family. During this time may the words at Psalms 9:9 comfort you.

Nancy,
I had the privilege of meeting Paul doing my first meeting at the VFW Post 10523. Paul was a soft spoken and kind person. He had such a sweet spirit. I was very blessed to meet this Korean War Veteran. I will keep you in my prayers, and we both will take one day at a time.
