Pauline Baun Obituary

Baun Pauline A. "Polly" Baun, age 94, of Columbus, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Polly was a graduate of Ohio University and received her Master's degree from The Ohio State University. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Charles E. Baun and her son Scott E. Baun in 2007. Also by her brothers John and Nicholas Opritza, of Youngstown, Ohio. She will be sorely missed and is survived by her daughter, Pamela (William) Welch, Columbus; sons, Douglas (Susan) Baun, Medina, OH and Kevin (Margaret) Baun, Powell, OH; grandchildren, Sophie, Austin and Gracie Baun, and Andrew Welch; great grandchildren, Alex Welch. Also survived by her brother, Dr. Andrew (Jan) Opritza, of Malvern, OH; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Opritza and Nancy (Richard) Baun. Per Polly's request, no visitation and no flowers please. Private funeral service with interment at Union Cemetery will be held. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Delaware Humane Society or to a charity of your choice, in her memory. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to share a memory or send a condolence.

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. It is never easy to lose those we love in death. May you draw comfort from those who love you and remember that God "is close to the brokenhearted; He saved those who are crushed in spirit" and He will soon eliminate all the pain and suffering death causes by means of His Kingdom.
