Porter Martin Jr.

MARTIN Porter "Bud" Martin, Jr., 78, of Etna, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his residence. He was born August 15, 1932 to the late Waldo Porter and Catherine Marie (Valentine) Martin in Circleville. Bud retired from Teays Valley Schools and had farmed for many years. He was a graduate of Walnut High School, Class of 1950 and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by sister Mae Huggins. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon A. (Zwayer) Martin; daughters, Kim Marti of Ashville, Perry (Ron) Lehman of Baltimore, OH and Kelley (Tim) Coleman of Etna; grandchildren, Crystal (Dan) Alword, Kyle Coleman, Darby and Shelby Martin, Alexis and Tara Lehman; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Dylan Alword; brothers, Ernest Martin (Karen) Martin Keplar and Wilson (Kay) Martin; sisters, Marguerite Shelton, Marlene Fullen, Vivian Noecker, and Betty Melvin. Friends may call Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME, Ashville with a Memorial Service on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Karen Martin Kepner officiating.
