I just learned the sad news of Reuben's passing, and I hasten to add my heartfelt condolences. I knew Reuben first as my student in the HUC Graduate Program, and then as a highly respected colleague and scholar. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will surely serve as a blessing.

Sad news indeed. I retain happy memories of Reuven during his student years at HUC in Cincinnati. Reuven was an advanced grad student and I was a young addition to the faculty. We saw each other from time to time over the years; he was unfailingly both a gentleman as well as a respected scholar and teacher. Remembered for blessing.
