Rex E. Toops

TOOPS Rex E. Toops, age 83, of Plain City called home to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, June 25, 2011, surrounded by his loving family members by his side at Doctor's Hospital West. Born January 1, 1928 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Retired from PC Implement in 1982 and retired Farmer who loved John Deere tractors and especially his Gator that allowed him to travel his farm. School bus driver for Jonathan Alder School District for over 20 years. Enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and tinkering with his 1948 Chevy. Preceded in death by parents John W. and Ena (Boyer) Toops, one brother, and one sister. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Anna Mae (Rausch) Toops; children, Alan Toops, Terry (Shari) Toops and Danny (Donna) Toops; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nephews and one niece. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main Street (St. Rte. 161W) Plain City, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, Pastor Phil Conrad officiating with burial at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City.
