Rita E. Morrison

MORRISON Rita E. Morrison, age 86, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home with her family on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Retired from Nationwide Insurance after 28 years. Rita was a member of Square Wheels Square Dancing Club, Buckeye Ramblers Camping Club and St. James The Less Catholic Church. She and Bob enjoyed traveling to all 50 States in their motor home. Retired in 1980 and moved to Yuma, AZ for 20 years. Survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Bob; daughter, Lois Holder; son, Bob (Sherry) Morrison; grandchildren, LeAnn (Dennis) Bates, Tammy (Mark) McCullough, Tim (Jenny) Morrison, Doug (Amy) Morrison, Stacey Woods and Tommy Gall; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Michael Bates, Leah and Seth McCullough, Drew and Luci Morrison, Madison and JP Woods; sisters, Lyndell Sweeney and Marie Beatty; brothers, Jim (Shirley) and Delaney McBride; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by brother Louie (Grace) McBride, sister Helen (Lawrence) Long, brother-in-laws Frank Sweeney and Bob Beatty. Visitation celebrating her life will be held at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. James The Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Ave., Columbus, OH, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Fr. Scott Kramer, celebrant. Interment Kingwood Memorial Park.
