Robb Case Obituary

CASE Robb Case c.a. Robert Glenn Casagrande. Today we are rejoicing that after a long battle with cancer Robb on September 13 went to fully be in the presence of his Lord and Savior. First and foremost he was a man of God. He experienced 31 miracles in his lifetime! He was the pilot and reporter with Chopper 4 for 21 years. And on top of that Robb was an entrepreneur, a radio host, a great friend to many, a church leader, and a visionary. He lived his life fully and completely for Christ. Born in Toledo, Ohio on December 6, 1956. Preceded in death by father Glenn and sister Lisa. Survived by loving family, mother Patricia Casagrande; wife, Holly Casagrande and daughters, Brittani and Chelsie; sister, Marcia (Scott) Marier; brothers, Gregory (Kathy) Casagrande, Brent (Chris) Casagrande; and many nephews and nieces. Friends and family may call 6-9 p.m. Sunday, September 16 at the Church at Polaris, 1250 Gemini Place, Lewis Center, Oh., where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 17. Pastors Warren Hilderbrand, and Scott Marier will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM), 175 East Broadway Avenue, Westerville, Oh. 43081. Arrangements entrusted to HILL FUNERAL HOME, Westerville, Ohio. The family wishes to acknowledge those whose life he touched and who touched his. We are grateful for all of your support, prayers, and love. "Sign the online guestbook at www.dispatch.com/obituaries"

Holly, Chelsie, and Brittani, I love you guys and I am still thinking about you and praying for you.
I knew Robb for many years and he always found a way to encourage me and support me. He would come up to me after church randomly and ask to talk to me, and then he'd give me a letter filled with all the things God had told him about me during prayer. And these letters from Robb always came when I was going through some sornt of tough time. What amazed me was the fact that there was no way Robb could have known about these difficult times unless God had told him. But the most astonishing thing was that this man, with his family and so many other friends and so many other people in his life was taking time to pray for me, the daughter of just one of his many cronies. He asked my sister and me to record a song for him and I look back on the recording session very fondly; hanging out in Steve Brandenburg's studio, eating Subway, laughing, telling stories, singing. He was always quick to encourage me, and I don't think I ever truly let him know how grateful I was to have had him in my life. He was a great man to everyone he knew. Thank you, Robb. I miss you and hope to see you again someday!

Robb so often thought how good it is that it can be said of a man:
He found God's grace so amazing, he couldn't keep it to himself.
And so it was with Robb.

Holly, Brittany, Chelsie,
I want to take a moment to express my deepest sympathy to you on your loss. I had the opportunity to work with Robb,Mark Litton and Robb's brother Greg at WTLT and Hot 105 Radio stations. As a manager for the Christian Radio station, I was fortunate to benefit from Robb's passion for bringing that format to Central Ohio in a new way. I am thankful for the chance I had to work with Robb, and share that vision. It was a very special project, and one that I feel blessed to have been a part of. Robb touched so many lives, as evidenced by all the amazing tributes on these pages. I was out of the state when Robb passed and have just recently learned of your loss.I grieve with you. I want you to know that I will be praying for you, Greg and your whole family.

To Robb's family, whom I do not know except his brother Greg,
I knew Robb as the d.j. at USA Roller Rink in the 70's before he worked for ch.4. I knew Greg from there also and from working out at Bally's yrs. ago before my disability. I only knew Robb in a small way and have no great stories to tell of him and I. Being one who also tries to follow the ways of Christ and His Word would be something I'm sure Robb would've been surprised to see out of me, from how I was back then. He was always a nice guy and never was harsh towards anyone I remember. I then went on to see him for yrs. on ch.4 in the chopper. May God bless your family with comfort in the fact of the promises made to those who believe in the Christ, that our reward is in heaven and not here on earth. We were stewards of this ball called earth, created by God and we're letting Him down it seems. May the Lord feed you with His promises to fill your hearts with joy rather than sadness that Robb is now with the Lord, with the promise of a new and pain free body and that he may live in glory forever with our Lord and Savior , Christ Jesus, The Brinnon Family

To Holly and the girls. I have thought many times of your family lately. I pray that God put a total peace around you. remember those good times and trust God with all your faith. I pray that there is a hedge of protection around you.
As I listened to 91.5 this morning I heard the song God's in Control. Yes, there are times we go through life not understanding completely. Though when we will trust God in the good times and the bad God will take those sufferings and carry them for us.
Praise God and I will be lifting you all up in prayer.

Case Family,
I am really sorry to hear about your loss. I will always remember when I was in choir at NACC and Robb would be in the front corner just jumping up and down and clapping his hands and singing to the music. He always made me smile on Sunday mornings just to see him up front praising the Lord. When I listen to the new station 91.5 I will always think of him. God Bless you and the girls.

Mr. Casagrande was an amazing influence in my life and such an encouragement to me. I can recall many attended volleyball games, trips to Florida, letting the girls take out his car for the night, and great talks about life as he continued to encourage and challenge me spiritually. He will be greatly missed - and I know I will someday see him again!

The Case Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had the good fortune of working with Rob twice, once during his start in radio at WCOL, then years later as his General Manager for his Arrow stations. I found Rob to be a very good man, very fair, and a joy to work with, and one who loved God and his family very much. My prayers are with you as you find peace in his passing.

Dear Holly, Brittani, and Chelsie,
Wow, what a guy...I will deeply miss Robb - I do already. I will remember his warm smile he shared so frequently. He was always encouraging to me and my family. What I saw as despair, he would see as hope and a future and an opportunity for God to work. I admired him so much for his "holy boldness" and great faith. It seemed he was always seeing something in the Spirit and was always keeping in step with what he sensed. We will so miss this powerhouse man of God. May the Lord fill you with great peace and comfort as you press on now, until you join Robb for eternity.
Love,
Susie Peterfy

It's the day after a tearful yet glorious funeral and tribute to the man who I called friend for over 30 years. Robb's was a unique and amazing life. Not only did he do incredible things in the world of the seen but also in the world unseen. He had spiritual giftings and perhaps more importantly he was bold and unafraid to move in them! Robb was my friend, co-worker, brother. Flying with him was always an adventure and he hovered above some of the most memorable moments of my broadcast life. I loved his laugh, his wit and his heart for my family and for me. Holly, Brit, Chel, it's been a very difficult year for you...I'm here. I look forward to the day we see Mark and Robb in the Glory that is promised through Christ in God's word. Cabot

Holly, Chelsie, & Brittani -

It has been a blessing to know your family for many years @ CCC-W....many smiles and good times to remember, especially on the worship team. Chelsie & Brittani -your dad, your Uncle Mark and "almost-uncle" Cabot could make even long worship team practices very fun (and a bit zany, too....what a blessing!).

Holly, I've watched with admiration as you and Robb raised your girls. I'm praying that Jesus' presence will be very apparent to you, from the inside out, as you walk through each day. Thank God, He does give us strength, comfort, peace and joy with each new day. My heart and my prayers are with you.

Holly, daughters, Marcia and Scott,
We were stunned at the news we heard on Channel 4 Thursday. We remember Robb as being one of the best Christian leaders at CCC-Westerville when we attended there.
Still remember seeing him with Scott, Mark, and Bob Buchanan around CCC and their love for the Lord just beaming on all their faces. Robb had set a wonderful example what a servant was in the Lord.
I can see Robb and Mark together in heaven.
Prayers for your whole family. The Lord did wonderful things through him, for he touched many people.

With our love,

Dearest Holly, Chelsie and Brittani:
Robb has left a beautiful legacy in you and in his last work of the new Christian radio station 91.5 FM. His love of the Lord, and of you will go on. He has truly lived a life which made a difference for the Kingdom of God. You should be proud of your husband and father.
2Timothy 4:7: Robb has fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith. Now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to him on that day... Our love and prayers are with you.

I've spent the last few days thinking about Robb a lot. I'd been a pilot for several years before, but had never been in a helicopter before. Robb heard that about 3 days into my internship and dragged me out to the ship for a ride. The man knew how to fly FUN. I can't tell you how many times I woke him up to fly 'spot news' (sorry about that Holly). I'll miss his smile and 'get it done' attitude the most!

I am in shock at the passing of Robb. He was my first boss at GTE/Telsystems. I worked there right out of high school. He was always so funny and easy to work for. One of my favorite memories, was when, as a surprise, he and other GTE staff got together and planned a ride for me in the Channel 4 chopper for my 18th birthday. Robb flew the chopper to our Worthington office address and put it down in the parking lot and we flew to the Channel 4 offices and he gave me a tour. It made my birthday so special. It was things like that which made a Robb a special person. He will be missed.

I only got to know Robb a short time. What had seen and experienced was a passionate man for Christ, communicating that love for a savior, and a very kind man.

I also see a legacy set with those whom called him friend. My hopes and prayers are with his family, his friends, and anyone whom was touched by a kind and fun loving son of the Kingdom.

Thank you for the time we spent, Robb. Look forward to see you up there.
