My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Bob Blalock, Sr.I am so sorry I missed his home going celebration. I had no idea until now that he had passed away until my Christmas card came back return to sender. Bob was more than a great friend, he was a father figure, mentor and all around great man. He will be truly missed but never forgotten. I met Bob when I was about 18 years old, that was about 29 years ago now.I searched the internet to find that he passed away on my birthday this year. I will never forget the great times we shared throughout the years. We even went through our divorces together. We laughed cried and shared so much. I love you and miss you my friend. God bless until we meet again in heaven. Oretha

Bob was a terrific teacher and was always present to help others. He was a crucial part of the D & S group. He helped many people over the years. His memory will live on for all of us. Thank you, Bob, for all you gave us.

I was sorry to read of the passing of Robert Blalock. We grew up together on Miami Avenue (Columbus) and were close friend up through high school when he moved from the neighborhood and then later I moved to Chicago, where I still live. I last saw him when he came to the wake for my mother in 2000. I did not recognize him (it had been over 30 years since I had last seen him), but his name was still very fresh in my memory.

Bob was, and remains, a force of nature who had a profound impact on the lives of all who walked through the doors at D&S, whether they knew him or not. He encouraged us to question ourselves, to ask more of ourselves than we knew was possible, and always to seek a deeper truth. He lives on in our minds and in our hearts, and in the spirit of learning and growth that is the heart of D&S.

So Sorry to hear of Bob's Passing. I had the pleasure of working with Bob at AT&T for over 25 years. Always happy go lucky kind of personality. He had a keen sense when to inject his great sense of goodness with a big smile in some unpleasant times. A great guy will be sadly missed.

Bob will always have a special place in my Heart! We not only worked together for 35 years we also prayed and played together! My whole family (including out of state inlaws) met Bob when he would spend some Holidays with us. All of them have also expressed warm thoughts of the times we spent ogether. Without a doubt one of the best men I have or will ever know. Bob is now at peace and the only sadness is what we lost.

I met Bob 15 years ago when I bought my very first house next door to him. He was the best neighbor and friend a single person could have been blessed to know. He came to my aid in countless ways and was always a ray of sunshine. He cannot be replaced. Thank you Bob for all you did and advised. You will always be in my thoughts and heart. To the Blalock Family, I had the pleasure of meeting Bob through networking with friends in the construction field. I also had the opportunity to work as property manager for Bob. Bob had a heart of gold and when I was dealing with a situation that was affecting my life, Bob was always there. May God bless the family at their time of loss.

To the Blalock family i have know Bob for over 35 years i rented my first apartment from him. He continued being a good friend to me even after i moved years ago i still hang around the apartment building until the day he sold it. I was heart broken, nothing stays the same except the love i had for him. I am going to miss him terribly i was going to see him this weekend amd when i found out the news i was so hurt.
