Robert B. Curtis

1924 - 2016

Curtis Robert B. Curtis, 91, of Columbus, passed away on June 16, 2016. He was born on September 10, 1924 in Allentown, PA to George and Josephine (Crocker) Curtis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy S. Curtis. He is survived by his children, Susan Curtis, Walter (Colleen) Curtis, Alan (Pam) Curtis and Russell Curtis; grandchildren, Brittany, Caroline, Abigail, Adam, and Hannah; and great granddaughter, Molly; his sister, Dorothy. He was a charter member of the Church of the Redeemer United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees and led the Building Committee. Robert also loved camping with his family, and square dancing in the Circle Eights with Dorothy. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Robert's life from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 Livingston Avenue. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at the church, 235 McNaughten Road, with Pastor Rick Birk officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Redeemer United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 235 McNaughten Road, Columbus 43213.
