I remember when he tried to show me and Mark Marinelli how to wrestle. Always kind, always funny, always entertaining. His legacy was as a loving person.

Bob was such a great person of high intelligence spanning many domains. He shared them with his writings and TV shows from Stoner, Nietzsche, H.L. Mencken, Gene Mills books to this Public Access TV shows of Dieli's Dicta and Matside With Bob Dieli. I was so blessed to be part of his many ventures for past 30 years after his retirement. Lord knows what all he did in previous 65 years :-). The Old Man had a great run in his 94 years sharing with all of us his talents and compassion at a very high level of energy throughout with help of Rosemary keeping his feet to the ground of course. I loved ole Bob and learn much as he took me all over the nation in his quest to show the best wrestling talents to his developed community of wrestling fans in Central Ohio. I am convinced no other person in the World can match TV broadcast hours announcing folk and freestyle wrestling. And yes I was part of his sounding board of his study of philosophy in life. I will be forever grateful for Bob sharing all his many moments with me. God speed Bob. And may peace be with his extended family.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Uncle Bob as I knew him through Andy & Phil was always a joy in the OSU wrestling room. I was always amazed to see a 50+ year old man handle OSU Varsity athletes on the mat the way he did.

To the Dieli family
On behalf of the Saint Francis DeSales High School students, faculty, and administration please accept our sincere condolences on your loss.
The Dieli family was impacted by a patriarch who was about faith , family and community. To those who were a part of the Wrestling community of Central Ohio you essentially became a part of his extended family.
May the angels lead Mr. Dieli to his eternal resting place and may perpetual light shine upon him
Peace and God's Blessings
