"I am very saddened to here the news. Though our Lord has said to us that we will not walk the earth forever, you still don't expect this to happen to a man of such stature. I've had the pleasure of meeting this remarkable human being for a short spell and in that time he left me with an unforgettable impression of greatness and steadfastness. To all family members and friends of Mr. Peeples, please accept my deepest condolences and may God bless each of you." - JG

Sorry to see another Tuskeegee Airman leave us. While serving with the Ohio Air National Guard I met several Tuskeegee Airmen at a Rickenbacker airshow. I admired these gentlemen not only for their WWII accomplishments but they continued their service to the community in civilian life.

I have known Bob for years though my ex-brother-in-law, Paul Allen, who has also passed. Bob loved to socialize and was always a special person to me. When Paul would come to Cols, he and I would always try to make sure we would see Bob. He will be missed by quite a number of people. I will keep your family in my prayers and know that Bob and Paul are in heaven going over their war stories.

Words can't express the grief we feel about Bob's passing. We (American Veteran Project) were blessed to have him mentor our essay project about America's veterans sharing their history with our teens. Both my son and I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Bob personally last May in his hometown in Georgia. America has lost a true hero and Bob will live inside our hearts for a very long time. Our sympathy to his family and fellow Tuskegee Airmen! God speed Bob and 2 thumbs up for all you have done for our country.

My sincere condolences to the Peeples FAmily on their loss. I met Bob while stationed at Lockbourne&Rickenbacker during the 1970s. He was always pleasant and quiet. He was instrumental in keeping the Tuskegee Airmen Association going in the Central Ohio Area. He served his country honorably and I will miss him. May God comfort his family during these times.
