Sorry to just learn of Bob's passing. I was a classmate of Bob's in dental school. He had a great passion for music and people. Just an all-around great person.
I will keep your family in my prayers.

I remember Bob as an alumnus of our fraternity at Hillsdale. He graduated 4 years before me but he came back as a regular and frequently acted as the DJ with his large collection of music. He always tried to relate to people on their level and was good for a laugh or two. He was literally one of those "life of the party" guys so I'm in shock when I looked up him on the internet and came to see his obituary. Looks like he lived a good life but it was cut short. I probably saw him last almost 20 years ago at homecoming but he wasn't a person easily forgotten then or now. It was a pleasure knowing you. RIP

Just heard the passing of our friend Bob....very sad. Bob was a riot to be around, always funny and exciting. Known him since grade school at Columbus Academy, as he graduated in same class as my brother. Polite, courteous, quick with a joke.....God speed my friend.

I am so saddened to learn of Bob's passing. I have fond memories of our years at BUMC in youth musicals and playing church league basketball. Hoping you find peace and comfort in time.

To The Schmidt Family-
I was saddened to learn of Dr. Schmidt's passing. My wife, Elizabeth, and I had a professional dentist-patient relationship with him during his last few years in practice. At first we were simply overjoyed to find a dentist within walking distance of our house. As we came to know him, however, we realized how truly fortunate we were to have the opportunity to connect with a person who was not only truly professional, but also kind and thoughtful. . . and fun to be around . . . if one can say that about a dentist. It was a sad day when we learned he was closing his practice, even sadder when we learned of his passing. Speaking on behalf of myself and my wife, we will truly miss him.

Barbara and family, I am so sorry to hear about Dr Schmidt's passing. As a young girl Dr. Robert Schmidt Sr. was my Dentist. I remember he was very professional and always made my fears of going to the Dentist diminish. Looks like Robert Jr. followed in the footsteps of his father and left a legacy behind to be proud of and mirrored his fathers legacy that he to left behind. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
