To all of the Smith family. Mom and I are so sorry to hear about Bobby. This is such a shock. Bobby was the big brother I never had and I was the little sister he never had. We all had such fun growing up. The pizza and Ice tea, the football games, and playing basket ball with my mom and dad. When Johnny got hurt and he used his crutches to knock green apples out of the tree. When the lights would go out and we would all sit on the wall, the games of tag in the back yards. So many memories. His mom use to say that Bobby ought to move his clothes over to our house because all he did was sleep at hers. We love you all and our prayers go out to each and everyone. Thanks Bobby for always being my big brother. I love you and will miss you dearly.

Our hearts & prayers go out to Bobby's entire family. We have no words to express to you our sadness in the loss of Bobby. We are sure the world is a lesser place without him. Steve having grown up on Madison Ave & myself on the last block of Washington Ave we all ran together having a blast. When we think back on those days of football in the field, basketball in the street & Mrs. Evelyn's pizzas we can't help but smile. He was a great friend to both of us even serving as a groomsman in our wedding. Bobby will truly be missed. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. God will see you through this difficult time.

My heart and prayers go out to Bobby's family and relatives. I went through losing a brother & my mother just recently. The prayers help and the strength to get passed the void feeling. I will miss his smiling face and beautiful blue eyes, that's what I remember in school. I graduated from Saint Albans High School with Bobby, and he married one of our school mates. We will all miss Bobby. There's a another star up there in the sky to look at. Miss you Bobby! Charlotte Hereford Blackburn

Upon hearing of Bob's death a permanent shadow fell on the most tender and dearest parts of my heart and soul. He was a wonderful human being who cast a light of kindness, hope, encouragement and love on all who knew him. Just remembering his easy laughter and love for his fellow-employees, neighbors and everyone he came in contact with brings forth a torrent of smiles, happiness, and now, sadness. His beamig life shall also be an eternal reminder to me of an example of someone who walked the walk of all encompassing love for all of God's creation and showed us all what it means to live a selfless life. He will be missed forever.
If I can be of any help in any way please let me know. Debra Smelser

The Bobby I remember and grew up with had a wonderful but ornery little smile. I've known you most of our lives and been your sister-in-law and your x sister-in-law but thru it all I remember the teenage boy you were and the fun and crazy times we had.

I am so sorry Chris & Greg for your loss....just lost my father too and I know how hard this is for you guys.

Sorry but I still think of you two as the cutest little boys. :)

You are in my heart and prayers. Thinking of you......your "Aunt" Celia

Barrie, please know how sorry I am at the loss of your little brother and I want to thank you for all you did when Dad passed.

Meggie you have lost your grandfather and your uncle within a very short time.....know that I love you very much.

We were so saddened to hear of Bobby's passing. The last time we saw him was on a very happy occasion--that of his youngest son's wedding. He had a wonderful time that day and was an extremely proud Pappa. He always loved his sons and grandchildren unabashedly. I know they will have a great void in their hearts, but we hope they will fill this "empty spot" with wonderful memories of happy times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
