Robert A. Solt

SOLT Robert A. "Bob" Solt, age 62, of Carroll, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born October 8, 1947 in Lancaster, Ohio, he was a 1965 graduate of Lancaster High School, and later attended Franklin University. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was currently Vice President of Branch 78 of the NALC in Columbus. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Solt; children, Abigail Solt and Charlie Solt, both of Canal Winchester; parents, Harold and Shirley Solt, Lancaster; sisters, Judy White, Orient, Nancy Eddins, Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law, Shirley Moliff, Pickerington; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents Earl and Carrie Solt and Ervin and Ola Varner and father-in-law Julian Moliff. Friends may visit 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where a memorial service will follow at 5 p.m with the Rev. Robert McDowell officiating.
