Roberta Rice Obituary

RICE Roberta A. Rice, age 71, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Edgewood Manor in Wellston. She was born in Union County, Ohio, October 22, 1933 to the late Paul and Dorothea (Poling) Geho. She was associated with her husband for 40 years in their Public Accounting Practice, she was an avid crocheter and camper, and she liked country music and cooking, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Wellston Chase Chapter. She is survived by husband, Clyde Rice of Portsmouth; daughter, Cynthia Rice (Phil Hawkins) of Jackson; son, Steven (Carol) Rice of Clinton, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Nathan and Katie Hawkins, Benjamin Rice-Hawkins, Alicia, Matthew, Eric and Adam Rice; two great-grandchildren, Drake and Dalton Ellis; two brothers, James Geho of Jackson, Marvin (Peggy) Geho of Milford Center, Ohio; step-mother, Magdaline Thompson of Leesburg, Fla.; two step-brothers, Maxwell (Betty Jo) Roberts of Meta Ky., Steven (Esther) Roberts of Marysville, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Norman (Nancy) Rice and James Rice of Unionville Center, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Nunamaker of Columbus, Ohio and Martha (James) Helle of Phoenix, Az. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers Herman and Lowell Geho and step-brother Jimmy Roberts. Funeral service 1 p.m. Sunday, September, 11, 2005 at the EISNAUGLE-LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Jackson, Oh. with Rev. Dale Lykins and Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating. Burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005 at the funeral home and also 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday. Eastern Star service will be conducted Saturday 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Christ United Methodist Church, 150 Portsmouth Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640 in her memory.
