STECKEL Ronald E. Steckel, age 57, Sunday, May 6, 2007. Commercial Plumber. Graduate of OSU. Avid gardener and frog collector. Survived by wife, Marilyn Steckel; son, John Steckel; brothers, Joseph (Katherine) Steckel and Robert (Marjorie) Steckel; sister, Jane (James) Patterson; step-children, Lynn (Justin) Dulay and Greg Kovach; 6 grandchildren. Friends may call at SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3100 N. High St., Wednesday 5-7 p.m. and Thurdsay 10-10:45 a.m. followed by funeral at 11 a.m. Pastor Paul Gabriel officiating. I worked with Ron at Winchester Mechanical. It what can be a difficult business I always appreciated Ron's ability to see thru the temporal hardships of our work to the lasting results of a job well done. I suspect he's looking at us right now in much the same way.
