Rosemary Darlington Obituary

Darlington Rosemary Darlington age 93 of West Jefferson went home to be with the Lord Friday April 19, 2013. She was born October 6, 1919 in Washington Court House the daughter of the late J. Martin and Mabel J. Cox. Rosemary was employed with the West Jefferson Library for over forty years and retired at the age of 83 from the Hurt/Battelle Memorial Library; she was a member of the West Jefferson United Methodist Church, a Precinct Judge and a Census Enumerator for West Jefferson. Rosemary was a prolific painter and taught painting as a volunteer. She was a talented musician who played the violin and piano. Survivors include; daughter, Susan ( Donald) Douglas of Columbus; son, John (Marci) Darlington of West Jefferson; seven grandchildren, Anne and Eve Douglas, Eli Darlington, Todd Cordetti, Stacey Cordetti, Max (Lena) Darlington, and Emily (Greg) Messmer; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George N. "Bud" Darlington and brother George "Bud" Cox. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, West Jefferson where Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Patricia Oesterle officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229 or the Hurt/Battelle Memorial Library, 270 Lilly Chapel Rd., West Jefferson, Ohio 43162
