Ruby Irene Elliott

ELLIOTT Ruby Irene Elliott, 84, of Grove City, passed away March 24, 2007. Irene was born February 18 or 23, 1923, in Helenwood, TN, to the late George and Lola (Mayse) Olson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Don Elliott and her brother Gene Olson. Survivors include her daughter, Carol and Warren Wiese of Spring Branch, TX; grandson, Bobby and Junnie Bates of College Station, TX; great-grandchildren, Wesley Bates and Laura of Radcliff, KY, Alan Bates of Elizabethtown, KY and Madyson Bates of College Station, TX; and a great-great-grandbaby to be of Radcliff, KY. Also, Millie Spaulding, special adopted granddaughter and friend of Elizabethtown, KY. Irene was raised in Stearns, KY and was a 1942 graduate of South High School. She retired from the State of Ohio, Workers Compensation as a claims examiner. She was a volunteer for the American Red cross and a member of the Grove City Senior Citizen's Center. While she was able, she enjoyed traveling, crafts and playing wheelchair volleyball. She was a member of the Steadfast Church. A private family gathering was held at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, Grove City, on March 29, 2007. Mom, Grandma Ruby, we will all miss you!
