Ruby McCombs

McCombs Ruby McCombs, age 94, of Cadiz, Ohio died peacefully May 6, 2015 at Carriage Inn of Cadiz from Alzeimer's disease. Former resident of Westerville, Upper Arlington and Dennison, Ohio. Born November 16, 1920 in Ravenswood, WV. A 1938 Graduate of Chester, WV High School. Trained two years as a nurse at East Liverpool Hospital. Retired after forty years of service as a nurse with various local doctors, retiring with Dr Willer at age 72. Preceded in death by her husband John W. "Bill" McCombs and her beloved daughter Judy Barnhard, her parents Francis Joseph Dudgeon and Forrest Ellen (McGraw) Dudgeon, sisters Ruth Hughes, Helen Voshall and Marion Dudgeon, brother Harold "Bud" Dudgeon and canine companion "Flipper". Survived by her beloved grandson, Jim Barnhard III, Tippecanoe, Ohio; sister, Lucille Gilcher of Lucasville, Ohio; brothers, Bill Dudgeon, Tippicanoe, Ohio and Carl Jack Dudgeon of Uhrichsville, Ohio. Ohio, canine companion "Gator" and numerous relatives and friends who affectionately called her "Miss Ruby". A grave side service with will be held at Blendon Central Cemetery, 6350 Hempstead Rd., Westerville, OH 43081 at noon on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 with family receiving friends one hour prior to service at the cemetery.
