1930 - 2021
Ruth J. Sims, 90, of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on February 11, 2021. She was born in Kent, Ohio to the late Donald and Justine Seckman on September 11, 1930. Ruth worked for many years as a Realtor for Sims Realty. Her family was her pride and joy. She had been an active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Baltimore, and a member of Pickerington Senior Center where she had many friends. She is survived by her children, Rodney Sims, Jeffrey (Connie) Sims, Tina Hawkins, Keith (Cathy) Sims and Marsha (Billy) Phillips, Fifteen Grandchildren; Seventeen Great Grandchildren; one Great Great Grandchild and several Cousins. Ruth is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Ronald L. Sims; infant Brother, Thomas Seckman; and parents. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Steve Rath will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at JOHNSON- SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio 43105. Burial will follow in Floral Hills memory Gardens. Family and friends may visit from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, February 17. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to a charity of your choice. To Ruth’s Family,
While my heart is sad, thinking of Ruth and all of you brings a smile to my face and a lift to my spirit. To know Ruth was to love her. And to try and keep up with her was impossible. Her love and service to her family and community was amazing. I am witness to the fact that she passed that legacy on to you. I count it a privilege to have been a small part of your family’s lives.
