Sally Conley Obituary
1942 - 2017
Sally Conley, 74, of Westerville, Ohio, died at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in Findlay, Ohio. She was born on September 14, 1942 in Richmond, Indiana to Harry and Mary Janet Kercheval (deceased). Her husband of 31 years, Rev. Philip Conley, preceded her in death on January 6, 1995. A proud graduate of Purdue University, during her long and varied career, she was administrator for several large medical practices and the HMO department at Central Benefits. She then retired and ran her own consulting practice. Later she became an instructor at the American School of Technology, teaching various health-related courses. She was a long-time member and choir director at Alexandria United Methodist Church, OH. She is survived by her son, Doug (Julie) Conley of Findlay, OH; and daughter, Christine (David Beatty) Conley of Raleigh, NC; brother, Bill (Marty) Kercheval of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Brian and Annabelle Conley, Kenny Lee Rose, and Samantha Beatty. A memorial dinner will be held for family in the near future. Memorials may be sent in the form of a donation to the hospice of choice. Arrangements entrusted to COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. I met Sally through my husband ... her husband Phil and my husband were ministers and very good friends until Phil passed away. Though we both lost our husbands, we continued to correspond at Christmas time with lengthy letters in our cards of what we had been doing but more so of what our children were doing. Last Christmas, 2016, was the first time in probably 25 years I did not hear from Sally and that concerned me, but I thought if she were ill I would hear. Now I understand, and I share the loss of a very good and loyal friend, just as our husbands had been. Esther C. Kunkle, Richwood, Ohio.
