I am a Kroger customer and Scott and I would talk weekly about our health. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2008. We would share our thoughts and have a few laughs. He was a truly caring person and I know he is looking down from heaven and saying "It's OK , I'm in a better place and at peace." A Kroger customer

My deepest sympathy to all that loved Scott dearly, especially to Joy and all his immediate family. I pray the Lord's peace and comfort over each of you. I am a Kroger customer and one of Scott's friends , we woul have good conversation every week in the bread aisle as I shopped and he worked. We shared many conversations about the Lord and Jesus. I know he is now completely healed and whole in our eternal destination, with a great big smile on his face...no more pain Scott. See you in Heaven my friend. Susan Floyd, Kroger Customer

I have worked with Scott for 12 yrs at 532. He was always so nice and was so nice to all the customers. He fought a courages battle and will be truly missed and loved by so many. I could always ask him who was playing on the music at work and he could always tell me being such into his music. We'll miss your hugs and smile as you smiled at everyone and know your smiling and at peace now. Many prayers to his wife Joy and whole FamilyRIP my Friend

Scott was a very sweet man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed talking about his music collection, and of course fishing any time he could, but he especially enjoyed spending quality fishing time with his brother Jim. I always got the impression that spending time with Jim made him very happy. We enjoyed many bonfires at Jim and Lynne's house with the company of Scott and Joy. He will truly be missed by family, many friends, and coworkers. The Dewitt's are a really strong, wonderful family - but losing Scott is without a doubt going to be heart wrenching. I'm sure they will do their best to come together to offer support and comfort to Joy, and all of their family members.
My sympathy to you all.
